Ordered my 07 six weeks ago-still waiting

For those of you who ever ordered an HHR vs buying one off the lot...how long did you wait? I ordered my 07, six weeks ago today..still no sign of it. The dealer themself ordered 8 of them for stock, a full week before I ordered mine, and he too has not received one. There are two other local HHR dealers, one has received no 07's yet at all, the other had two, sold one. Seems to be quite the delay in getting them from Mexico (where they are built). In a way it works out to my financial gain as I've driven my current car for almost two months now, and the depreciation is hitting the dealer rather than me, but I'm anxious to get my new HHR!

Yeah..I heard they cant get anyone across the border legally!

Have no fear..its normal for a new model year to experience some delays. GM is addressing the issues that many early 06 buyers have complained about. Believe me..youd rather wait for a near perfect car..then let them rush and give you a lemon!

Mine took 8.5 to be delivered. The dealer 'may' be able to tell you if it's been produced, however, shipping (seeing that titles exchange hands for insurance purposes) *CANNOT* be tracked. Chances are every one of these HHR's does the same thing...
Production (1-2 days)
Moved to shipping lot (1-3 days)
Shipping (via train... ~3-7days)
Sit on distribution lot awaiting truck transportation (~3-14days)
Shipping (via truck... ~5-18days)
Arrive at dealer/prep (1-2days)

Agreed... there's a loss of time somewhere in there but no-one could seem to tell me where!?!?! Hang in there!!

Sits in customs waiting for inspection, after entering this country (mine took almost 3 weeks). And, don't forget the "mordido" (?), which Mexico operates on. Oh, and mine was railed to the west coast of Mexico, was prepared for sea shipment, sent by sea to National City, Ca. and that's where it sat for US Customs.

I bought my 2LT off the lot yesterday, they had 23 2007 HHR's in stock at Lone Star Chevy in Houston.

My 2006 was about 8 weeks but I am in Newfoundland and there is extra transit time. I have ordered a bunch of cars over the years and each took 8 to 10 weeks. Someone I know ordered a Caliber on the same day as my HHR and 5 weeks after I took delivery of the HHR, still no Caliber.
