I will be visiting Charleston, South Carolina. Any recommendations -- things to do, places to see, etc.

There is an aircraft carrier with some cool static-displays there.

 

I'll be going there in June. First long trip for my HHR. We stay at the Isle of Palms. It's a barrier island off Charleston. Very nice. Take in the Slave Market downtown and while you are there take in the horse drawn carriage rides. Then you can go the the old railroad station , now a visitor center, and take a bus tour of the whole area. If you have time, go to some of the plantations. OH YEAH, if you go to Isle of Palms, you gotta go to Coconut Joes to eat. I love the place !
