Other HHR's
#11
I see TomsHHR from time to time. And there's about 10-15 other ones that I see on a regular basis. Not in the same day, but I know they live around town here. There's a couple of newer HHRs that I see driving around town that look pretty sharp. All LS's and LT's. No SS's around here.

When I got my 09 I only new of two other ones on my side of town, now they're all over the neighborhood and the city. I drive by a Chevy dealer going to work and they seem to be dwindling off their lots. I think people are realizing what a practical and affordable vehicle the HHR is. Too bad they're stopping production..

Around here you can sling a dead can and not hit one.
I can see in my 12 mile drive to work up to 10 or 12 not counting the hand full in the parking lot at work.
This is part of the reason that the resale prices are as they are. There are a lot of HHRs and it has hit a age where demand is down a little. Supply and demand. I would estimate there have been over 600,000 made and 90% are still on the road. That is a lot of cars.
Keep in mind too that there were many sold to fleet sales and many are now entering the maket.
I can say that some of my co workers are dumping cars like Hyundais and Kia for used HHR's and they love them. The Korean car thing did not work out as well as they expected so they are loving the low price and practical HHR.
I just hope they can do the same with the Granite and keep the car priced well. Contrary to what many think a lot of buyers could care less on the HHR styling and just love it for it's value and how it drives alone. Stying aside the HHR is a good car on its own merits.

According to Wards, the sales totals for the US stand at 489,780 through the end of the 2010 model year, with the 2011 sales added in 600,000 sounds just about right. The PT Loser totaled 1,351,252 units sold, so we are more exclusive.

Doing some E-surfing last night I looked up some used HHRs for sale in my area. I was suprised to see 06-07 LTs selling for around 10K, some with high mileage. Even same year LS were going for 7-8K. I'm sure the dealers didn't give much in trade-in so they must be making a killing re-selling these. How are the used HHR prices in other parts of our great nation?
