Ouch - #@!&

So I went over to a friends last night for dinner and to celebrate the New Year.

Did not drink - had to work today, and as an EMT - would be a little difficult to explain my way out of a DUI.

While backing out of my friends narrow drive at her condo complex - I made low speed contact with a mailbox. Put a dent in the rear pillar above the left taillight.

How easy is it to get in that area to smooth it out?

I will try to get pictures of it. Feel like an idiot - but it was right in my blind spot on an unlit drive.

Yeah - but no paint removed and it was my own fault for not being careful. On the way home I witnessed a few "suspicious" drivers that probably should not have been driving but didn't dent their cars (DOH!).

dent in rear

Dear 3,

If the paint isn't scraped you could be in luck. I'd take it to one of the Dentworks type of operations unless you are brave. IF it is in a corner, you may be able to coax the dent out with a round dolly..do you feel lucky?

Doing it yourself has a gamble to it; you may end up placing a "star type of dent" from the inside out which to me is just as bad! Ask me how I know this!

Some of the paintless dent repairs are very good

Chris, that spot is EASY to get to...ask me how I know If it's a soft, round dent, you may be able to pop it out yourself, but it's a bit stronger there because of the curvature. Good excuse to shave the taillights!

Come to our Cedar Point G2G in June & I'll show you how...I can make the fillers at home on the english wheel. I'll bring 'em with me, I'll show you where to cut! Just did a search for the Darkside HHR on the web, only pics I could find showed no taillights...they put vertical LED strips in the corners, looked nice!
