You should probably take it to the dealship for repair. I think it`s supposed to read in Farenheit.

They use different numbers up there in Ottawa, Ontario!

You change the settings for "American" and metric through the DIC.

Here is the online owners manuals

Mine is usually about 3 or 4 degrees C lower than my garage-mounted thermometer, so I guess those sensors are a lot like turnlight flashers - no two are the same?????

Mine tends to be dead on. A variance of 1 or 2 degrees is not a problem since temps can vary a little in the same general area. So within one city you may get two or three different temps depending on where you are versus where the particular radio station gets their temp info.

I checked the temp on the weather network before I went out this evening. TV said -19C, so did the DIC. Either way, that's freakin' cold!!!

While driving around Ottawa tonight, the temp on the DIC ranged anywhere from -19C to -27C.

And I thought it was cold when I woke up and it was 9F.

No problem. My insurance covers it.

Exactly!

Mine is usually dead on. As long as it is within 2 degrees +/-, I don't see a problem.

Mine is pretty accurate until it gets to 85 degrees F and then it goes nuts.
I think it is risidule heat from the pavement.

I have the same problem...
There are a few other threads regarding this problem. Here's one of them.
https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/problems-service-repairs-42/update-outside-air-temp-read-problem-4060/
One thing I thought maybe was happening was residual heat from the sheet metal the sensor was attached to. I reached up in the cavity and pulled it off the mount to let it hang away from any metal parts. The only thing is when I did it, it got really cold out and haven't been able to see if it works or not.
