Paint Code? How do I find it?

Joined the chipped paint club today...need to get some touchup paint but need to know the code for the color.

Unless someone knows the code for Golden Teal?

Anyone buy online or just go to dealer? I bought some "pens" for my Matrix that worked real well.

Look in the glove box, at the Vehicle Build Sheet. At the bottom of the sticker should be a line that says "WATER-BASED U XXXX." The code in the XXXX spot is the paint code.

<-- knows this from tracking it down on too many customers' cars!!!!

Thanks BR! Got the chip low on the hood next to the headlight...a hood deflector would not have prevented but it will stop chips like this on the leading edge

Hey, you got the first one out of the way. Any additional chips or scratches won't be nearly as traumatic. My problem is I usually cause the first one myself. I ordered a beautiful black '82 Firebird with t-tops and dented the door on one of those poles at the gas pump. I've always hated where those are place!

Paint codes

I am trying to find the paint code for Golden Teal Metallic. I found the codes inside the glove box, but which one is the paint code? Or does someone know the code for Golden Teal?

I just had some golden teal metallic mixed up. The number/letter combination in my glove box is: U 405 P 322
These were at the bottom of the glove box label.
Your paint supplier will also want your vin# to verify the paint code.
I bought the Dupont paint. This is what I paid:
1 pt base coat: $65.00
4 spray cans filled w/ basecoat: $20.00
1 spray can of clearcoat
1 spray can of plastic primer
3M scotchbrite pads
Total w/tax was: $130.00
Good luck.....
