Good luck to you. I've been waiting since February for Chevrolet to admit the problem and repair it.

We also have the rb's an flaps, all Dealer installed.

Just took a round trip to Wichita Falls , TX from Nashville
area and no problems yet. And you know I 40 is all
construction in Arkansas both ways...

The best news of the trip so far is that even at 80 MPH,
we still were getting around 29 MPG. WOW! Never could
have done that in the 04 Impala, and it would not have
been near as much fun either!

Well I did not realize that was going to happen i been keeping it off the worst roads and if i had to go down them i took it slower then the norm. looks like i going to need running boards

wonder if gm will hear fo the problem there and just add the boards to future models standerd. till then i out over a grand for parts and paint.

I doubt GM will make running boards and flaps standard on all HHRs. They make too much money as an option. It also gives people a choice on styling options.

Don't settle for it! Contact your dealer and demand they make it right.
Several HHR owners are doing this and some are getting satisfaction.
You bought a new car, it should stay new at least for a while...

Go for it!

It wouldn't surprise me to see running boards as standard equipment for the 2007 HHR with a price increase to cover the potential loss in profit. GM will ultimately come out ahead -- don't "they" always! -- since every HHR will have a bit of extra profit built in.

Chevy already anounced the changes for the 2007 model and standard running boards is not one of them.
