I think we may have had the same dent! Thin Metal coupled with the Strut design make the impression even when just closing the Hood !

If you think the HHR is thin you need to be driving a STi in the rain. It sounds like you put a pail on your head and someone is dropping gravel on it!

The Paintless guy says the cars they have the most trouble with are Mercedes and not because of the thickness of the metal. It's the paint job, it comes off.

Thanks so much for the comments and suggestions guys! I think the safest thing to do is to contact the 2 closest Chevy dealers to me and ask them who they recommend. They might be a little more expensive, but they probably do good work. Speaking of hail damage, we get lots of hail here in Colorado. Definitely not looking forward to hail season this spring...

I had 13 small dents removed from the hood after being hit by some dirt out of a dump truck. A friend who works for Dent Wizard did it for $40 and you would never know they were there. Do you have Dent Wizard in your area?

Yes, we have Dent Wizard here in Denver, just checked it out online. The closest one is at a Toyota dealership, I'll stop by later this week and get an estimate. Thanks for the suggestion! Glad they did a good job on your car :)

Remember they are franchises. What the name is doesn't mean a thing. Who is doing the work matters the most. Get personal recommendations about the specific operation not a recommendation about a franchise name.

FWIW a Body Shop has a reputation to live up to so they have probably already weeded out the average quality dent removal guy! My HHR came with what I thought was a factory blem in the fender! My guy said it was someone from the dealership trying to work his dent removal skills! 15 minutes later our guy had repaired another guys repair !

i used to work for dent wizard
they have the best training program i've seen

you have to go to school in St. Louise for 2 months.
if you can't do it they won't pass you, or hire you!

the instuctors are super picky too

the best guys get recruited for dent wizards hail teams

I spent $20 on pops-a-dent kit from autozone. It really works.

And I had a big fugly dent in the front fender from a shopping cart within a week of purchase
