Pick-up truck conversion

I’ve been looking through the site for info on doing my truck conversion. I know and understand that this type of “mod” isn’t everyones cup of tea. I’ve read tons on the specifics of the “SS” type HHR. TONS of info on it in there! I’m still wanting to connect with someone that’s done this conversion but have had no luck. I’ve noticed a black primered one from Alberta Canada. If he’s still a member maybe he’ll see this and chime in. I don’t know his handle, I grabbed the pic out of the gallery but it would take me another two days to sort through all of the photos in there. Any help on this would be appreciated!
Thx,
Larry in East China Mi.

Larry, I see many pintrest Photos, nothing about the Alberta HHR , it could be from several years ago . A lot of those trucks are either squirrelled away in the back corner of a garage (hopefully) or recycled into something else.

Are you saying that you have a SS that you want to do a truck conversion on ? Well, you may be the 1st. Don't seem to recall anyone cutting up a SS yet to make a truck out of it.

Might change the handling characteristics.

Understood and thank you for the Facebook idea. I’ll check it out. I guess I have to take a few pics of my HHR-SS and try and post them on the site to kind of show that I’m not chopping up a perfect specimen of rare car. I’ll get on the pics tomorrow!

Thanks again to all that have replied to my post,I appreciate it!

I didn't say chopping up. I said "cutting up"
Just made the statement because we used to say that back in the day when we modded something.
Wasn't meant to imply anything.

Chop it! Meant lowering the roof.
section it meant cutting thru the middle of the body an inch or 2 or 3
channeling, was lowering the body over the frame.

many custom cars feature one or all these techniques

I’m sorry about my poor choice of words. I didn’t mean to offend anyone.
