Picking up a 2009 LS tomorrow
After a lot of shopping, I finally found my first HHR! It's a 2009 LS, 45,000 miles, Gray. I've been shopping with a tight budget, hoping to find a low buck diamond in the rough. I don't know if this qualifies as a diamond in the rough, but I was quite happy to find one this new with this few miles. It's no done deal yet, since the car was just traded in. They told me they would clean it all up real nice, perform the safety check, and then told be they would GM certify it, too. Bumper to bumper and free maintenance for 12 months/12,000 miles. Considering I have been looking at both 2006 and 2007 LSs and LTs with 75,000 miles plus, I will be happy with it.

Thanks guys! I picked it up Friday afternoon, and I couldn't be happier! The whole family really digs this vehicle. I got a great deal on it, too. I went to a Buick/GMC dealer to look at a loaded 07 LT with 75k miles. And I mean loaded. Leather, heated seats, premium sound, roof, the whole deal. They wouldn't budge on the price. Right after I left they called me to tell me they just took an 09 LS with 45k miles in on trade and that they would deal on that one so it didn't have to go on the used lot. Since it had under 50k miles, they GM certified it. So I get 12 month bumper to bumper and 2 years free maintenance. They took care of a power steering switch recall while they prepped it. Having a car two years newer and 30k less miles is a better trade off for me, plus it was way cheaper than the LTI went to look at.

Haha, yes! That's so funny. I was looking for that 07 when I picked up mine, but it looks like you got it already. Congrats on your purchase. I'll tell you this, when I went to pick mine up there were three huge cigarette burns on the passenger seat I did not notice on Thursday. I asked them to fix it, and it all worked out because their interior guy was going to be in that afternoon. He fixed it so good, I can't even see where they were. They also had a guy pop out a couple dings, and he did an amazing job.

LoL, that is too cool. My wife and I about passed out when we saw what was the one we were looking at sitting all prepped and waiting for its new owner. That must have been yours. We've been looking at the 2007 since it went up a month ago but didn't want to pay the over ten grand asking price. It's a great ride and we both love ours. The first thing I did when we realized we could get it was join up here to get advice, ideas, and some direction making it 'ours.'
They shined ours up real good too. Richard was a breeze to deal with from beginning to end.
