I never use it, plus it builds up dirt. I wash my car and get tired of pulling it out.

I don't understand what washing your car has to do with pulling... er, eh... never mind.

I just don't use it and wanted it gone.. When it rains, the water goes straight down.

As Angie stated, I removed the rear washer nozzel this weekend. I removed my wiper before it went in for the paint job and had the hole welded in. I was going to make the nozzel squirt tailgaters but the more I looked at it the more it bothered me so off it came.

The plug I used is temporary and was found on the inside of the tailgate near the top center. It fits in nicely too. The hole is not just a round hole, it has a slot on the top of it. I went to Lowes to look for a paintable plug but bought one that was too small. The plug is better than the nozzel for now.

As far as removing the wiper goes, in my opinion it cleans up the rear of the HHR and besides '49 suburbans didn't have rear wipers on them.

Tim, do I see another "clinic" coming up soon in Fullerton?!
So far Labor Day weekend is looking open for SoCal HHR's.

I love the idea of squirting the tailgates.. I may have to look into that. I have a spoiler, so may be difficult..

Just shaved mine a few minutes ago... about 8 minutes end-to-end. I'm going to weld mine up when I get a chance, but in the interim, I snagged the black rubber plug that's on the bottom outside corner of the front door (open your door and look to the corner... you'll see it).

I shaved mine about a week ago. Still waiting to paint it though. I went with a fiberglass fix and a little filler. Smooth as butter now and ready for paint.

Pics of remove rear wiper

Decided to fill the hole rather than put a plug in it. Looks great. No waves, paint matches. Clear over color and it looks like it came shaved from the factory.

Also painted the beauty bar to match.

I have a brother that owns a body shop and I gotta tell a few of you guys that did the bondo thing, well, never mind---im not good at hurting feelings.

I live in Michigan and would NEVER think of ever wanting to remove the wiper/washer on the rear of my 08 HHR..I had a van once that had this feature and REALLY liked it alot.

If you dont need the rear wiper, I guess the mod is allright, as long as the BODY work is done correctly.
