Pioneer Radio Difficulties

My '09 SS has the "premium" sound system. I'm happy with it as far as the way it sounds, but not thrilled by the way it works.

I am unable to connect my iPod Touch via USB cable. I get a clicking sound from the start, then the whole thing just stops. I realize there is a TSB in regards to this problem, and I'm willing to wait for a fix.

Recently, however, I'm having trouble connecting via the auxiliary jack. The unit plays for five or ten minutes, then stops.

I have made an appointment with my favorite Chevy dealer (Gearhart, Denville, NJ) for Tuesday. They have already offered to replace the radio. If they can't get this fixed, I might take them up on their offer.

Note: I have already checked to see if my iPod has the latest upgrade. It does.

I may try my wife's iPod just to make sure the problem isn't on my end.

If you've had a similar experience, I'd like to hear about it.

Thanks in advance!

By the way, my 8-month old HHR SS has 38,000 miles on it, and has been 99.9% trouble-free. This is one of the best damn cars I've ever owned. It's fun, economical, and practical.

I could say the same about this forum. You guys are terrific.

How's your radio reception? Get static or bad reception?

Radio reception (AM... I don't remember when I last listened to an FM station) seems fine.

Update Update:

New radio!

The USB connection works like a charm.

It's going to be great getting rid of all the other power cords / auxiliary jack stuff.

I like the other features (song, track, artist displayed on the radio, etc.), and....

IT SOUNDS GREAT!!!

Case closed.
