Poll: Will the hhr become a classic?

Considering the relatively short production life and modern uniqueness, do you think our HHR will become a classic like most of the vehicles it emulates? I just was thinking of how nice it would be to keep my HHR for YEARS & YEARS and one day have it turn even more heads and draw finger points. EVEN IF THEY CALL IT A PT CRUISER!! lol

Ok, let's free up discussion as to why you think it's one way or the other.

Tough question to answer without a "but" in there somewhere........ (note: I didn't say "butt" )

For myself it already is a classic...... I have a car with a big chrome grill, hood over fenders, vintage lines, running boards, and it's only a few years old. That's classic. For this reason I voted yes.......

Will it ever be sought out as a "classic car" in the future, like a Vette or early Mustang..... I doubt it, maybe the SS will because of the performance, but even then, I doubt it. It doesn't have a wide ranged fan base now, it probably won't in the future...... so it's more like a "cult classic" if that term can be applied to cars.....

After 20 25 years most cars become "classics" I see models in local seller magazines that when i was a kid were considered POS and now are demandind 10 or 20 grand. I think the Panel and the SS models will bocome classics for sure.

Only 300 (white only) Corvettes were made in 1953. However it still took 30 years for that limited production car to become a classic. I bought one the 1968 for $1800. and drove it for about a year and then traded it to a friend for a 66 chevelle. So will the SS Panel (216) ever produced become a classic? Maybe about as much as a Studebaker Avanti and that would take about 30 to 40 years and who knows where this planet will be and what interest there might be left in gasoline cars at that time. Will it even be legal to drive gasoline powered cars in 40 years? And by the way looking at the (poll in this forum) age of HHR owners who will still be around to find out. I say enjoy it now, use it up, and move on to something else. And except for Greybeard just be happy to be around in 40 years.

i'm sure some guy will look at my panel and say dam to bad this guy did all these mods . and how come it;s not a turbo

when i was a corvette guy when i found a mid year or older it was excitement plus to look for stock ones and hard to find.
my last find was a 66 bb that had been in a barn fo 17 years. i did a frame off on it and when i took out the seats ifound . a pair of 60s wraparound sunglasses a very very small diamound ring(worthless) in a match box and a trojan. it's like the guy was cool wearin the glasses gave the girl the diamond and themmmm well whats left. a true but funny story
