My Chevy salesman is the fleet buyer at John Elway Chevy. He spent the afternoon trying to solve the "Great White HHR Mystery". His curiousity was piqued when it wouldn't even let him order a white LT1 with a "fleet force" order. He said that was almost impossible. However, he started trying white with various other option combos. When he specified the bright chrome package it finally let him order the car in white. So, if you want an LS in white, no way. An LT1 can be had in white, but only if spec'd on a car that includes the bright chrome package. btw, note that in the past hour, HHR prices at the website have gone down $500. Maybe Chevy is trying to help me pay for the bright chrome package I wasn't expecting to order!

Thanks for the info wolfee and to the guy at John Elway Autonation as well. So are you going to go with a 2006 or wait and order the 2007?

We're an enquiring bunch...and enquiring minds want to know.

Of all the colors "Not" to have available across ALL series I think White is poor choice on Chevys part. White is a pretty basic color to have here in the Phoenix area. Anything you can do to relect the Summer Sun. . Summer here being April 15th to October 15th, give or take a week or two !
I would have taken a White one back last August! (Although I do like the Sandstone "Mucho".)

GM says: LS, no white. LT1 white available IF you specify the bright chrome trim package. They will not provide white with the brushed chrome trim. I got my order in for the LT1, white, bright chrome, splash guards, auto, 2.2, and those to-die-for upgrade floormats.
