Still not correct. There are only 16 digits and a VIN has 17.

All I need is the last EIGHT. Not the full VIN. All I want is 8SXXXXXX. There will be 6 numbers after the 8S. The VIN shown only has 5 numbers after the 8S

Yes, you can get FOB,s from the dealer or a number of other places. You also might ask how much to reprogram the FOB's to the BCM so they will work. Prices vary greatly from $0 to $125 depending on the dealership.

PN for FOB with remote start (mine is an '06, don't know if they are all alike) is 15114374. You can also get a FOB with just the lock/unlock features.

Yes, but go back to the "was it a rental" question. If it was, there is a good possibility you will go thru the gates of hell to make it work, and possibly have to pay more than once. An alternative I found was an after market remote door lock system, I got at PEP BOYS, I've seen them elsewhere, for about $60, the problem with it is that you still cannot relearn TPMS positions.
The wiring for these is somwhat of a challenge, but pretty do able after you figure out the correct color codes from conflicting/incorrect/hidden information.

Now that worked. You have keyless entry with remote start. So now all you need to do is buy a key fob, get it programmed and life will be good.

This was a Hertz rental vehicle originally.

You also have the storage compartment recall still open. This will be fixed for free.

Really? A 3 button FOB with just the lock/unlock features will also work if my originals are 4 buttons? Does it matter that the part numbers stamped on them are different than the ones with "remote start"?

key fob #

if you have the remote start option, the key fob # is 15114374. I would check with the seller and confirm iif they forgot to give yuou the fob's only a dealer can prograam the fob to your HHR there is no sequence to set it yourself
