I just went to supposedly Re program my remote door locks and interior lites and found out the owners manual says I have them in one place, and I don't have them in another place. ??????

They do not come up on my DIC.

Does anybody out there know if they even put them on any of the HHR's.

This is a 2011 .. 1LT with 8 way powerseat and power outside rear view mirrors and heated rear window.

Geez.. wouldn't you think the remote door locks would be programmable ??

 

I'm confused. What are you trying to do?

 

Silverfox. To access what you are looking for you have to hold down menu and press the enter key.. or vice versa. One of those two. Then to scroll through the options, press MENU.. it should cancel after going through the entire menu once.. so you may have to repeat if you go too quickly through menu items.

 

Did you buy a used one and are trying to add the keyless entry to it?

I have read your post about the programmable door locks. When you look into your owner's manual for this information, did you go to page 4-45? This is the section for the DIC Vehicle Personalization?

This is a 2011 1LT 2.2L with Auto Transmission.

I have read the owners manual till I am blue in the face.

Here are my issues unanswered.


1. Page 4-45 you speak of does not talk about DIC in the Owners Manual I have.
The manual that came with the Car is Part # 20840901 B second printing.

2. Page 3-11 .. Programmable Automatic Door Unlock.
Read what it says under this title.
( If your vehicle has a Drivers Information Center, the doors can be programmed to unlock several ways for vehicles with an automatic transmission.) Thats Me !!

3. I have the same issue with the following additional reprogrammable features as well.

4. Page 4-47 .. Remote Start .. Off or On
5. Page 4-48 .. Lock or unlock Horn
6. Page 4-49 .. Lights flash ..Turn Off or On
7. Page 4-49 .. Delay Lock .. Off or On
8. Page 4-50 .. Unlock .. Driver or None .. Auto Trans Only
9. Page 4-51 .. Exterior Lights .. Off or On

10. Page 4-37 .. Exiting the Personalization mode .. Does not work on my car.

My car is currently in DIC mode from where I put it, but I cannot exit this mode. I Followed everything they say to do but no luck. Stuck in DIC Mode.

It will not display any of the above issues I have listed while in the DIC mode.

If these issues do not apply to the HHR 1LT with auto trans. then what do they apply to?? They are in the owners manual.

I looked at the GM features and specs for the 1LT and the 2LT and they are the same in this regard.

Why are all these pages in the Owners Manual dedicated to these features if they are not even in any of the HHR vehicles ?? Especially Mine !!
