So I have a question bout putting some K sport lowering springs and Stagg shocks/struts. Lowers car 2" in the front and 2.5" in the back. Fits 05/06 incl SS.
Will these fit my stock 08 HHR LT 2.4??

 

I've never heard of that brand, stagg. That probably isn't as important as they didn't make any hhr's in 05, and the SS didn't start till 08. They all have the same set-up, fe-1 fe-3 or fe-5, they are interchangeable, so if they fit one they will fit all of them.

 

Another question though, how will this affect ride, handling and wear and tear??

 

My HHR is lowered 2 inches in front and 2 1/2 inches in the rear, my HHR is a 2006 2lt, I put KYB fe3 shocks in the rear, I just had installed the fe5 struts installed, driving on a rough road it made no change rides like hell, no change from before, it rides great on a smooth road so I stay away from driving on the bad roads, it looks great by being lowered, if I had it to do over I may not have lowered it that much.

k so i upgraded to 18" tires when i originally was 16"...but my winter tires are still 16" now im wondering what would happen if i got lower springs say yyz or eibach or canucks etc with the 1.5-2.0" drop what is going to happen when im on 16's in the winter time? and i just going to be plowing snow? lol

 

Uhhh. That's gonna depend on what size 16"s and 18"s you're talking about. It's all about the total "heighth" of the tire. Depending on what actual size you're running( 215, 225 etc. x series 45,55,etc.) those 16"s and 18"s could be about the same overall heighth.
Find a tire size calculator and plug in your sizes for the answer.

 

Sorry, but I have a set of Pedders that I took off of my SS, they are the worst set of springs I have ever owned.

 

I'll second that motion, but I could only stand them a week, took them out.

 

I bought the Eibach Pros used for my SS and could not be happier. About 1.7 front and 2.5 lower rear. Yes, the ride is pretty stiff but I've yet to bottom them out. Of course that's taking it easy over RR tracks and avoiding potholes.

Stock rims and getting new Michelin 225/45R18 XL 95Y BSW MICH PILOT SPORT AS PLUS installed tomorrow.

Combined with a TTR swaybar this thing is a real blast in the corners even on the stock Michelins. Got a bit of squeal with the stock setup but after the springs and bar that went away completely.

I was afraid the lower ride height would result in bumpy corners being a handful because of travel, but that is not the case at all.

Of course everyone has different needs and desires on ride and handling. I'd not put them on a shared DD for instance or your better half will complain about the ride.
