Well, we're at 19.95 if we order 5 or more, plus $5 for the adapter, free shipping with a order of 20 or more. One person would have to but them all, then disburse. So, we end up paying shipping twice, which probably negates any real savings on the valve.

Thought he'd give us a better price than this. Unless someone else is interested in being the "collater", it seems like not a great deal.

Thanks for the interest and the replies.

Installed mine today, with the adapter. Very slick, but the oil drains v e r y
s l o w l y. Better have a beer handy, and some pretzels, and a dvd.....

The valve is not exposed, it hides up under the side of the pan, totally out of the way of anything hitting it.

Fumoto 107N Pics

I didn't know that I needed the adapter with the F107 Fumoto valve until I tried to install. Just so you don't make the same mistake here are some pics.

As you can see the oil pan has a machined out section where the OEM oil plug goes. The threaded part on the Fumoto valve isn't long enough and the valve won't tighten all the way down. The ADP107 adapter must be used. I used the adapter with the nipple (F107N) so I could simply attach a piece of hose and drain the oil into a pan out from under the car. That way I don't have to jack it up!

I have the 2.2 and ordered the 107f for my 2008 HHR 1LT. Is that correct that I need the adapter?

He has also offered our "group" a discounted price on the quikvalves, which would be the lowest US price, including dealers.

Don't know exactly how it would work, but I can pursue it if enough people are interested. I know a few of you have these, I have not installed mine, waiting for the adapter. I'll monitor this thread to see what the interest is.
You can get valves for $20.95 for standard and $21.95 with nipple from lubricationspecialist.com with $3.00 shipping.

I finally put mine in. I dont know if it was planned this way or just luck, but with the adapter, it tightened up with the lever on the top-out of harms way.

I had one of these valves on my Datsun Z car 25 years ago and loved it. In fact, I bought 2-one for my HHR and one for the SBC I am building for my Wrangler.

I let the folks at quikvalve know that this engine DOES need the adapter and they should note it in the list of engines that DO need an adapter. They were kind enough to refund the shipping charge on the adapter since I paid shipping twice based on their engine list.
