That's not bad.

That's not a bad price. If you can get it down then great, otherwise I'd take it. I worked for 5 weeks to find one in the color and with the options I wanted. It seemed like once I found one it was then sold! The Columbus, OH area is selling these fast so they aren't dealing much on the price. I had to go out about 150 miles to find mine. Orange SS with all the options except the CD changer (no ugly dealer installed pinstriping either). Ended up at $22,180 for mine. Good luck!

Silverback ss,

I really like the orange SS, but the wife wants the red. It's her car so I am all for it. The red looks cool too, just something about that orange.
I am still waiting on my GMS #. There is a lot of people looking to make a buy right now, but I was told I should have it today, or tomorrow.
I will post as soon as we get'r home.

Dragbike,
Red was my second choice if I couldn't get the orange. I like the black color too.
My future plan is to have the upper half painted in something like a gunmetal gray, light charcoal, pewter (or similar color) in metallic, with a particle size to match that of the stock orange metallic particle size. I think I saw a great similar color on a Buick Enclave.
I just got done pinstriping it today. Had to do something to it to put my mark on it. Put it around the sides and the rear, right at the belt line. Double line, which turned out great, and it looks good. I'll post pics when I get a chance.

Hey silverback,
The 2 tone sounds cool.
We finally picked up my wifes SS today.
We put about 100 miles on it already. The dealership was 40 miles alone.
It's cool to drive, like a go kart! I had a few chopped street rods and it gives you the same feeling of a chopped top.
Very happy with the purchase.
When I figure out how to post pictures I will put it in the SS section.

Try this dealer

Try Dave Smith's in Kelloge Idaho. I know it sounds far away, but when I lived in Flagstaff AZ, I called them because I could save $5000 on a new truck compaired to what was available in Flagstaff and Phoenix.

After I purchased my 07 HHR LT used from eBay, my friend paid the same of his new from this dealer. I didn't even think about going to Dave's to see what they cost. My loss.

Give them a try. I don't know if I get any referal perks but if I do, give them my name and address if you want.

I was just at the dealer tonight. They had a 09 with a 5 speed and the lower radio option [no usb]. It was stickered at $26,780.

It looks like the prices went up $1200-1500 over the 08.

That would put a fully loaded Auto at near $28,000 sticker.

Right now your best bets on getting a 08 is a Black or Red as there are more of those since they account for over half the production.
