Rear Backup Camera?

i dont think a back up camera on the hhr is neccessary. i have the aa5 option and i still dont have any isues backin up or seein things. i would put the 400$ or w/e it costs towards somethign else

Recently, there have been a lot of affordable rear vision systems come to market. Typically, they use a license plate mounted camera that only needs a 12V connection and transmits the video by RF. The flat panel moniters can easily attach to the sun visor. Most are under 100.

A lot of reviews say that installation was complicated and despite being "wireless", required wires. And many said that the camera just didn't work after all that, and had to be returned.

The wireless part is to eliminate the need for a video cable between the camera and monitor. Obviously, they still needs SOME kind of power to them.
I'm sure there are plenty of WallyWorld buyers who thought this thing ran off brainwaves.

Some people do. My spouse has mobility problems. We have had a custom welded 2" hitch put on her HHR to hold a scooter. Due to reduced neck motion She asked me to intall a backup camera system. I purchased one yesterday from Sams for $100 + tax. Installing it today. I will let folks know how it goes.
