Talking Rear Bumper Replacement

Hey everybody, I'm needing to replace the rear bumper on my HHR. Firestone was kind enough to forget to pump the brakes and backed my car into another car while pulling it out of the bay. I've attached a few pictures to this posting. SO, I'd like to at least replace the bumper. Does anyone have a how-to or video/pictures showing how to do it? I did a see another thread on this, but all of the pictures were blurred out. Any help would be appreciated it! Thanks!!

Welcome.
Why not let Firestone take care of it since it's their fault. Besides, you're going to need some paint and body work also.
Let them fix it all and not just the bumper.

***Mods. This should probably be moved from the "How To" forum section.***

They quoted $2,000 which is half what the car is worth. I don't feel it's worth it to get it fully repaired. I'm going to replace the bumper and move on.

But shouldn't they be paying for it? Shouldn't cost you a dime...

Why are YOU doing anything about it? Are they giving you money for the repair?

Pretty straight forward

A replacement from RockAuto might fill the bill

It’s a they pay the $2,000.00, you spend a whole lot less and have a little vacation or something

Perfect, thank you guys for the links/pictures!! Yeah, Firestone is paying for it, but I'm not dying to get the rest fixed. I'm going to pocket the $2,000 and pay a little something for a bumper to put on it! Thanks again guys!

I would go somewhere else for the estimate, that seems low to me.

Seems to me the dent in the fender is worth $2000.

Send a PM to hellshotrod, he has several HHRs he is parting out.
