Rear Wiper Removal

Rear Wiper Removal
For those of you that have opted to (or are considering) remove the rear wiper.
I found this piece from C-One Motorsports in Tokyo. Since they do not list this item for the HHR I just ordered one for a Scion. The item is very, very well made. It is billet aluminum and comes with two thick rubber gaskets, a larger back-up washer, a flat and lock washer and an allen screw. Installation takes approx 30 minutes.

$85 for that?!?!? WTF!! Gaskets, washers and nuts are worth what, maybe $2 max. The pics on the two posts above look great, and GTOMIKE shows this can be done for way less than the this piece costs.
This is a nice mod to do, but I would not get sucked into paying that much for a part like that.

Props to you Vinny for the source. Although not for everyone and pricey, it is another resource for us.
I like the idea of being able to reinstall the wiper assm. Mitzkitty's wingman made her a billet cover for hers in the shape of a surfboard ( the car is a woody HHR and really done well. ). Im certain that wasnt cheap either. So for those that want a NASA spec'd rear wiper hole cover, there is your source.
