Reccomend a cartop carrier
I don't have the cross bars and don't want to scratch up the roof. #1.
Also I would like something that folds up and is water proof.
I'm also willing to rent something if you know of someone in NE OH that has such things.
TIA

I see you have the Rails on your, so now you need to get cross bars. I and others have use Thule 450 Crossbar foot (pk of 4) with the Thule LB 50 load bars. Then mount a bag or box to them. This URL I am posting should show the bars and mounting feet and some boxes by Thule. You can do a search for Thule or try RackAttack.com . There should be some dealers up your way. There is one in Chagrin Falls. I bought mine from Amazon, cheaper than Chevy. Think I paid a hair under 200 for the bars and mounting feet. http://www.amazon.com/s/104-2051226-...link%5Fcode=qs
http://www.thuleracks.com/dealer.asp#results On this page you can stick in your zip 44077 and find dealers but think the closest in down in Chesterland or Mayfield Hgt.

You'll have to search for the bag, can't help you there. Where do you work in Solon? you have a good drive from Fairport but all interstate but those accidents can tie things up. I'm E. of Solon off 422 a couple miles from 306.

The Thule site reccomended two different bags, that I saw on Amazon. That other thread had pics of the basket, and I can see some uses for that too, but I think a bag that I don't have to worry about rain would be best. I'll run it by the finance dept.

I just bought the Thule feet to attach my kayak rack to the stock rails. They work great! My only complaint is I have to untighten them to remove the rack. It takes a lot longer than the old system I had. But, the Thule feet securely hold the kayak bars in place. The price shown on that site above is cheaper than what I paid locally.
