Red GM color choices

Howdy Folks,

Newbie here, been in love with the HHR since I rented one on 07' and have finally saved enough coin to buy one. (I don't DO financing)

I'm searching the state of Florida online for my lil red wagon and seeing 3 color choices: victory red, crystal metallic & burgundy. But searching online color sites shows only the victory & crystal, so now i'm confuzzled. Dealer sites appear to show the crystal color like a metallic victory red, similar to candy apple. One even calls it: victory red metallic

I've seen the Victory red up close and LOVE it, but can't find a crystal metallic one local to compare. I hate to drive 150 miles to find out that crystal=burgundy.

Me likes FIRE ENGINE red

Any help much appreciated!

Scott

If you want fire engine red, get the Victory. The others are a shade of maroon/burgundy.

I see you're from Port Charlotte. Go to Old Navy and say hi to James for me. He was my manager and he moved down there...

Look at Kev&Cher(SS) in the member gallery. They have the crystal metallic color on their SS.Then look at a victory red in another gallery(mine is VR).Should give you something to compare.

My 2010 is crystal red metallic, which I happen to think is the best red. No offense, it just reminds me of candy apple red, which I've always wanted (except on a '57 Chevy).

Victory red is really bright, and I've also seen a darker red, even darker than maroon, which I don't like at all. I've seen one of the reds referred to as "cardinal red", which I hope isn't the darker one, because I've never seen a cardinal that color, and that's the state bird here in Illinois. Maybe victory red was called cardinal red in past years?

Crystal red is a new color for 2010, it replaced the cardinal red, which was more of a darker maroon red.
Post up some pics into your gallery if you can, I havent seen that color yet. I suspect its the red tintcoat that GM has been using for a few years now.

I'm always a proponent of brighter is better. Just look at my SS and my Grand Prix....
