I am watching ABC news from Joplin tornado and the were showing a Red HHR SS that is in pretty bad shape. I didn't realize it was an HHR until I recognized the SS emblem. My location in Iowa, tornados went on both sides of us.

 

Did you happen to get a picture of this you could post?

 

Do any of the old members have contact info for Sharon (sweetmama)? She hasn't accessed the site in a very long time but I do know she lived in Joplin. I've sent her a message through the email she has provided here but not sure if it is one she still uses.

It is hard to tell what kind of car it is...... Maybe an HHR but it's pretty mangled.

My thoughts go out to the communities hit by this latest round of storms.

 

Best I can tell you is to turn on ABC news. I was just watching "Good Morning America" and it was on news blab with reporter. Don't know if it will be on later or maybe they will have video on their web site. Could barely tell it was red let alone HHR.

 

It was a pretty horrific scene. I did not even notice that car was an HHR. The brick that was buried in the door was quite impressive.

 

I must not have seen it, but I have been watching all the videos on abcnews.com Still haven't seen it. Can anyone describe what video it is you see the HHR in?

 

It's the news report...... look in the most watched videos, it's like the 2nd most watched.

 

I see it now. The one elevated doesn't look like an HHR. The arm rest you see inside the vehicle doesn't match an HHR's, but the Sunburst Orange just to the right in that video clip is an HHR.

 

I took a quick look at ABC news website and hadn't seen it there yet. What caught my eye was the SS emblems on lower front quarter, then the tail lights on the 2nd time they showed the reporter. I will find it when I get back in the house, gotta run now, Bear

The video I seen was a Red SS on the ground under some brush/trash beat to hell. Reporter was standing in front of it. I saw the video with the one up in the air and the orange car. Wasn't the same video.
