Reduce your wind noise!

Reduce your wind noise!
I just stumbled upon a quick and easy way to reduce wind noise. I changed my wiper blades! The rubber sail on top of the original blades apparently was causing some noise. I just switched to Bosch Micro Edge Excel's yesterday, and noticed how much quieter the wind noise is.

Maybe Canadian wind is different. There have been a few who complained of wind noise and attributed it to possibly the long antenna or a lack of a weatherstrip across the top of the windshield, neither "fix" seemed to help much, if any.
All things are relative though. My other car has a lot less wind noise than the HHR. Also, I listen to talk and comedy radio sometimes, with music going it's no big deal.
Overall, the HHR is pretty quiet. I was just amazed at the amount of reduction in noise by just changing the wipers.

What one thinks is noise could be normal to someone else. Might be worth a try. Buy some new blades to try. If it gets better leave them on. If not save them for when the stockers wear out. Good tip.
