Remote Start

Hey guys/girls, Isent it soo cool to start your car up with the push of a button up to 300 ft away! I think I could have some fun with that feature, Say someone was looking at your car as you were comming out of a store and you saw them and Remotely started your car to scare the crap out of them! Has anyone on here done that yet, Im sure someone has. But hows everyone like this feature, Its one of my favs!

I have a 5 speed so I don't have that feature, but I've talked to several people who do and they've done the same thing. In fact, when Henry and I met HaysHotRod at the car show last summer, he did that and it definitely startled both of us.

I did, I run the hunting program at a Delaware wildlife area and some hunters were standing around my HHR and one was leaning against it, and when I hit that remote start he jumped about 6 feet. We had a good laugh.

so if its sitting there allready locked, I still push lock then hold the start button for 2-3 sec?

side note....the car wont start unless we unlock it, then turn the key...even if we are sitting in it (dealer verified this was correct)

It tells you in the manual. Push the lock button and then the start button for 2 seconds and it should start.

yes, the lock and start button MUST be pushed in sequence no matter if the car is locked or unlocked... it will then run for 10 minutes... during that 10 minutes you may press the sequence again to extend the running period another 10 minutes.... you only have that option twice then you will have to put the key in the ignition
