remote start
Hello from Poland :)
Almost one year old thread, but still the most recent regarding remote start issues…
I just grounded the pink wire, turned ON the RS option in DIC, locked the car TWICE and then I pressed lock+panic buttons. The car started (yay!) and after 3-5 seconds it died and the only reaction to pressing lock+panic again is flashing the turn signals… I tried unlocking, locking twice again, starting the engine with the key - nothing. Disconnecting the battery repeats the situation - allows only to RS one time, for a few seconds, then the engine dies and i get only flashing turn signals.
Autel finds NO fault codes in any module…
Any ideas?

Started new thread.
Did you ground the correct pink wire? Does the car already have the hood latch interlock from the factory? There would be wires going to the latch (not the impact sensor).
Did you read this thread https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/how-...on-ap3-28551/?
If there is a hood latch interlock already installed there was no need to ground the wire. The factory interlock has 2 switches. one is "open" the other is ""not open"' one grounds when "open" the other grounds when "not open".

Thanks for the replies.
I guess I grounded the correct pink wire as the car did start after doing so… Only once, OK, but it DID :)
There was only one pink wire at the lower blue-white connector, so I’m pretty sure it was the correct one.
Before grounding all I got was flashing turn signals.
There is no switch nor any electrical wiring at the hood latch.
There is a remote start option in the DIC and it is ON.
I’ve read all threads on remote start that were found by the search option and there was one post with similar issue - only one start and immediate going off and then only flashing, but there was no solution described.
My idea is maybe the ground on the nut holding the BCM is poor? Should I find some better ground point?

I used one of the bolts holding the BCM as a ground point, just under the connector with pink wire. Maybe I should search for better ground somewhere else?
