So I bought a '08 LT with remote start.Well I couldn't get the remote start function to operate.The lights would flash when I hit the function on the Fob but it wouldn't start. So the dealer said they would fix it.So i dropped it off for the day.Well they called me back and said the car wasn't equipped with remote start from the factory.So I checked the RPO codes and sure enough the car was never ordered with remote start. So the dealer said they would have it installed for me because I and they thought the car was equipped with it.

 

I was under the impression the factory remote start system couldn't be added to our cars...

 

You are correct,it will be an aftermarket system
