the old aircooled vw wxhaust studs were the absolute worst. Problem was they got so hot the aluminum stuck to the steel. Tried PB blaster and everything else you can think off….paraffin works the best. Only exception is silicon oil
Trying the old school wax trick may have worked on the VW aluminum/metal stud removal. For this HHR problem it would probably be easier to just use a good penetrating oil. PB blaster or such should do the trick.
I would still try the heat it up method too.
Your biggest issue is getting a good "bite" on that old sensor that you buggered up.

today I got the bolt remover with special theet to grap the bold nut from oxigen sensor,
1- if I cut the cable sensor the car is available to start for heat the manifold?, because this remover bolt looks like a regular socket so I will need to cut the cable to have access to the bold.
2-other think I can run the car without the metallic manifold shield ?
thanks so much

Post pic of the tool you plan to use.
You should be able to run it to get it hot without the shield….if I were concerned about it…take it loose and use tie-wire to hold it in place so its easy to remove quickly before manifold cools down

You can cut the sensor off just above the bolt piece, if you’re using the bolt extractor
Or this stud extraction device.

Yes old blue I used one of that size 22 mm and you know came off today very burn inside, was ease today I remove the black part of the windshield to have more space.but a details when I put in the exhaust the new one when I tried to plugin in the electrical socket in the car , not fit the electrical but fit in the manifold, I return to amazon where I bought and I will buy tomorrow in CAPS the upstream and downstream I will change both.but the extractor removal lung is the maximums for extract a bold bolt or nut.
