Replacing 2007 automatic shift knob

We bought our daughter a 2007 HHR for graduation and we’re making small cosmetic improvements. One is replacing the shift knob. I am having trouble finding an authentic 2007 GM replacement shift knob. I imagine they were discontinued but thought I could find old stock. Does anyone know where I can find one, or will another year knob be compatible with the 2007? I want to stay away from generic “universal” knobs that aren’t GM, or that I need to buy some sort of adapter for. Thanks for any help!

Thanks. I saw that one. I didn’t think it was GM, and it looks different than ours. Ours has some chrome on it.

Ours is LT. Forgot to add that to the post. How do I get to the LT model? Thanks again!

I’m investigating that one, you might have to go to a parts yard to find one. I’ll post what I can find .

I found this part number for the chrome knob with leather, I checked both part number and the superseded part number both have listings on the Internet.

Try ordering from GM parts sites

I think 20871082 is the entire shifter assembly. They can be found much cheaper on ebay. The pricing is outrageous; knob for $66 the entire assembly $76.

But the entire assembly doesn’t include the knob, as far as I saw, best to call that dealership to confirm they have it and ensure it’s only the leather and chrome knob.
