So they changed it from the 2 button method in the 06-07???

In my 08, the INFO button toggles between Odo and Outside Temp>Trip A>Trip B>Coolant>Front Tire Pressure>Rear Tire Pressure>Oil Life>Avg MPH

Not in that order, its late.. but just hitting info toggles through these. Press the Arrow or Enter button to reset any of them that are resettable.

So, there are two buttons, if that is what you're talking about?

1......Key on ,not running
2......Step on the gas pedal to the floor 3x in 5 seconds or less.
3......Oil life indicator will go back to 100%

This works out great for me, because I can never remember how to do it using the steering wheel controls. I always end up looking in the owners manual...lol...Just thought I would share....Regards
Same as most GM's.

From the Official Recall and TSB Thread

#PIP4511: Unable To Reset The Engine Oil Life System Using The Accelerator Pedal - keywords DIC ECM EOL engine inop inoperative intermittent life lof lnf maintenance message monitor oil OLM pedal performance - (Oct 16, 2008)

Subject: Unable to Reset the Engine Oil Life System Using the Accelerator Pedal

Models: 2008-2009 Chevrolet HHR SS With Engine RPO LNF ONLY
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Condition/Concern:
A technician may report that the Engine Oil Life (EOL) will not reset.

Recommendation/Instructions:
Engineering has determined that the ECM for the 2008-09 HHR SS does not support the use of the accelerator pedal for the Engine Oil Life System reset procedure. This is listed incorrectly in eSI and the Owners Manuals of this vehicle; and is in the process of being changed.

Technicians should be advised to use the DIC procedure or Tech2 to perform the EOL reset.

Maybe there's something I'm missing, but couldn't pumping the accelerator pedal in this manner flood the engine?
