My 06 had the column rattle (they replaced since it was still under warranty ) now the sway bar links are bad (not under warranty), the butyl patch leaked, fried the resistor (I replaced that and fixed the patch) now the blower is bad from the water getting in! I will never buy another american made car again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mine doesn't rattle but when waxing it today, noticed that the LF fender is actually loose and makes noise when you push on it.
Last "American" brand car I buy as well.

My dealer replaced the strut mounts, better bit no cigar. Replaced the lower control arms, no change. Replaced outer sway bar links, no change. Replaced the inner sway bar bushings, BINGO!! Noise gone, but beginning to come back after another 6k.
Replaced the garbage 215/55/16 Firecrap Affinity's with 205/60/16 Goodyears and most noise went away. PLUS I can hear my radio again!!!
I'll probably replace all the bushings with aftermarket Moog parts when they are available.

My rattle problem had two causes. I have a new intermediate steering shaft and now I am waiting on stabilizer bar end links. The steering shaft took care of a lot of the noise but I still have some when driving in gravel parking lots. I have 4k miles left on the warranty, so the service guys know me by name.

I'm taking mine in either tomorrow or Thursday to take care of this issue along with the head impact protection recall, loose headliner fastener fix and tilted armrest problem. I gave the service rep the recall card and TSB numbers for all these issues above today to note in the system and to book an appointment.
I've never had a new vehicle before and I'm always a little nervous taking a vehicle to the dealer after hearing horror stories. I'm optimistic that these minor issues will be taken care of perfectly and I'm sure this work would all be covered under warranty wouldn't it? Still, I wonder if there will be some charges assessed to me (admin charge? tax? service fee? deductible?) after all is said and done.
I don't know what to expect as I've never dealt with warranty work before.
