Roof racks for HHR

Might have been posted before, but it's new to me:
Perrycraft makes roofracks for the HHR....which you can install yourself. Side rails only, or side rails with cross bars. Black and bright anodized (sorry no pearl/brushed chrome)

Basic rack & rails hold 75 lbs. Bigger cross rails are available which hold up to 180 lbs.

Side rails only are just $110; rack w/rails in black $170, chrome $180.
(Rails alone from GM, with nuts and bolts, nearly $200!) Complete setup measures about 39x65".

Here the link to a dealer and menus: Aventura, Dynasport & Sportquest models show HHR applications.

http://www.truckstuffusa.com/dynaspo...errycraft.html.

Styling is very similar to "factory", and I like the black powder coat.

Hope this helps someone else who wants a rack.

We also carry PerryCraft and offer the whole system for $169.99 in black. Our site should be updated with these and our line of exhaust products by tomorrow

I have been thinking about adding roof racks to my HHR and went to check them out. Pricing I saw was $169.99 for Black and $179.99 for chrome. Is there some sort of discount code that needs to be added to bring the price to $110.00 that I am missing? Thanks in advance for any information you might be able to provide.

The $110 is for the side rails, while $170 is for side rails and crossmembers.

Will you be offering all 3 versions - The Aventura, AV4068, Dynasport DS3965, and the Sportrek ST3969?
Good to hear an affiliated sponsor is offering this product!

Can you get just the cross-members? If so, will they fit if you already have the side rails installed from Chevy?

We offer the Aventura and the Dynasport. Dynasport is $170. While the Aventura is around $200. We do not show a listing of the Sportrek for the HHR.

Yes. They run $155, and will attach to factory rails. Here is the link to see what they look like. http://www.perrycraft.com/roof_racks/Mont_Blanc.htm

Thule Cross Rails & Thule MOAB Baskets Installed

I promised I would share some picts of the Cross rails and why I needed them. Please understand the only way I could convince my wife to downsize from a Mini Van was to guarantee that I could put a roof rack on the HHR and I realize how it looks a bit out of place on top, but it looks better than one of those big boxes. I kind of like how it reinforces the truck theme.

Thanks to CJ and Coolsurf I was able to remove the factory rail end caps and install the venture cross rails but they would not work. The Factory Rails on the HHR are at such and angle that they position the cross rails to far up in the air.

So I went back to purchasing a set of Thule 450 Crossroads with LB50 Load Bars. I could attach them right next to the factory rail feet for a very secure fit. The Thule Basket attaches directly to the cross rails. As I said before we downsized from a mini van after 18 years and we love the HHR but we still travel to northern Ontario in the summer and we still have an Irish Setter and one grown daughter traveling with us so the basket in a necessity. We leave next Thursday and I will take some pictures of it loaded down. Thanks to everyone for their help.
