Rotor Problem

I have an idea which might send a message to GM about the rotor problem so many of us have encountered.

It would be fun for us, as well as informative for GM's upper management to be inundated with boxes of junk rotors. If we were to all send our defective rotors to Rick Wagner's office, he would be made aware of the problem, plus we would receive a bit of enjoyment in mailing them to them.

First of all, does anyone have their old rotors? If only a few of us have them, it would't make the point. Can you imagine the looks of the guys in glass houses when say 150 boxes of rotors, each weighing about 20 pounds, arrives in the executive offices.

Worthwhile?

Next, has anyone on here ever done a simple survey: Have you had to replace or grind down your rotors? Yes/No ??

OK - Just looked it up and a poll was taken in the past in which about 134 members previously had rotor problems while 108 had not. Thats well over 50%, and about 1/2 of them had multiple time problems.

So what will happen is afte the first couple of boxes if they even accept delivery of them they will turn away the rest and they will be sent back to you at I'm guessing your expense. At todays prices I'd hate to have to pay to ship them anyway.

No they would accept them and sell them for scrap to pay off their debt.

I love the idea. I'll probably do it... mine as at 12,000 miles but I can feel they're going ... a bit of a wobble. Sigh.

Did twice and finally had them replaced with a non-GM parts. The first time was at 8,000 miles and the second at 17,000 miles, replaced at 22,000 miles.

I still have mine sitting out in the garage in the EBC boxes. Only about 7500 miles on them.

I love that idea, except for the shipping costs!!

Best way would be to have a large pile of them and get national press coverage. That should embarrass them into doing something.

Still have mine.At 600 miles or so rotor started warping .After a trip to NC mountains and now with 2400 miles they are much worst !! I have order Performance rotors and Ceremic pads.I am not letting the dealership touch my truck unless it's a recall
