Rough idle

Rough idle
Has anyone had a rough idle resolved after air intake hose was properly connected? My 09 had a rough idle so I thought it was the throttle body so I cleaned it, btw it was filthy. Still had rough idle. Ill be honest idle did the throttle body cleaning and didn't check anything else do to being on a time crunch. Today I had free time to check it out again. And noticed the air intake hose was completely disconnected from the engine bay wall. I did a cold start no rough idle just sat at 800 RPM. I then took it for a hour or so drive on a route I knew had a lot of stop lights that are timed poorly and speeds varied, still no rough idle when stopped at lights sat perfectly at 800 RPM. Could this simple hose reconnection be the solution?
Thanks in advance

So you had a rough idle, connected to air inlet hose properly, and now the engine doesn't idle rough anymore?
I'm guessing you mean 800 RPM, not 8000.
Continue to monitor it, if the idle stays fixed, call it a win!

Yes meant 800 RPM. 8000 I definitely know there is a problem. Lol.

I may just carefully take it apart and use a cleaner on it. It won't hurt. I believe its the original hose but no leaks or anything. Original owner kept great records of all maintenance done to it.

Yes when I cleaned the throttle body I cleaned both sides. And, no I didn't move the plate because I know they are prone to brake very easy.

The MAF is on the TB hose, the electrical thingy you have to disconnect to take the filter off.
