I agree with taking it back to the dealer... I bought a '97 pick up , 6 moths after I got it, was hit by a 17 year old uninsured female.. Once I was able to speak in a language that was understandable.. I had it taken back to the dealer to have them repair it. $10K later and 2 months and I got it back. not sure why they didn't total it. Was still a good truck, just traded it in last year.

Any word from ther dealer yet? Can they repair it, or are you getting the '07 you weren't read for?

I should know something tommorow. The insur co was sending someone out today to look at it and let us know if it a loss or not. I am looking at what the dealers have in stock just in case. Soon as I know more I will let you know, and if I get an 07 pics will soon to follow. Problem is what color I would pick if I get a new one.

Boy that really stinks. And to think I was thinking how bad my luck was with my small little dent.

Hi Dwayne. Geez, what can I say? Glad everyone's OK. I have had a couple of close calls, and an unfortunate incident like this reminds me to take it easy. Sometimes, there's just nothing you can do - bad luck! Still, look for the silver lining - maybe you'll get yours back soon, or get that '07. Either way, you'll be a part of us no matter WHAT you drive. Thanks for teling us how well the car's safety design & equipment performed. Keep in touch. "SS" Mike

Hey, that Amethyst color is terrific! And you're right - it is rare to see one. Besides, we need your Amythest to keep the "color variety" going in our "Zonies" group! (GRIN) - "SS" Mike

look at the bright side, you have an HHR rental so youre not missing out on anything while yours in the shop!

and remember, it could always be worse... you could be driving an overgrown roller skate and couting the days
