so I finally got the parts I needed to get the HHR up and running, would have been finished sooner if not for needing to get the AC line that comes off the compressor replaced. we didnt know about that until the radiator got pulled.
I kept the front cover and just made a temporary repair on it, until I can find an SS front end to put on.
still, I dont think it looks too horrible.

most important thing is I got it back !

Just a little rash, it’ll be fine till that SS front bumper shows up!

When in doubt, paint it black.

got to use it on a courier run last night, ran great, handled great, but...
always a but isnt there ?
I definitely have a fuel leak, possibly the fuel line got clipped as the bobcat went directly under the vehicle from where it struck.
but when Im driving slow I can smell fuel, when I first turn it on I smell fuel, and in 100 miles of travel I used almost 1/2 tank of gas... yep, fuel leak
I wont be driving it until I get that taken care of as I certainly do not wish to risk setting it ablaze !

if anyone has any advice to offer, please !

after dropping the tank this morning, we are faced with this:

the circled part is where the leak is coming from and it is fairly moderate.
we havent been able to find a replacement part anywhere, even gmdirect.
we also couldnt get it out, couldnt even get it to budge.
so both my mechanic and myself think it isnt a part that can be replaced and we need to replace the entire tank.
Ill be ordering another tank tomorrow, so I hope I can get some replies before then.
I was going to order new, but $500.0 from gmdirect + S&H vs $150 shipped used is kind of making it hard to consider that worth it, especially if this is a common issue.
