the entire yellow piece looks to have fuel coming from around it.
not sure how or why, to be honest, as it is very solidly placed, we couldnt get it to budge even a hair, of course, we also werent trying very hard not to break anything so we didnt apply much force either.
scratch all that, I found 12 fuel tanks locally at salvage yard for $80, also have one of the extended rear spoilers at one. I think Im just going to go that route. I can get it tomorrow and have the HHR back on the road by the wknd :)

Car in front rolls back some how and knocks it off those stands. Just saying, the wheels need to be chocked for added safety.
Believe me, 30 years in the Fire/EMS profession, I've seen a few 'working on the car" accidents where they didn't think they needed those extra safety precautions either.

I appreciate the concern, and I actually mentioned something to him a few times, mostly about how I couldnt crawl under the car like that.
but the car in front is chocked at both front tires where the weight is and the psngr tire on the HHR had a wood block on it.
