If it's on axial/jack stands on level ground where can it go ?
50+ years doing automotive stuff myself.
And yes I've seen people get hurt not doing the correct thing.
Guy at work lost part of his leg because he didn't have a stand under a bulldozer blade when the hydraulics failed and his leg was right there.

the drive has a decent slant to it, without chocks things definitely roll.

about 20 yrs ago I was replacing the front shocks on my ranger only using a cheap hydraulic jack, my brother came out of the office (this was at a glass/aluminum shop I worked at for him) and freaked out when he saw me under the front of the ranger with just the jack under it...
I did have a pair of stands I just was just trying to get it done quick, needless to say, that was a lesson learned very quickly and Ive never worked under a vehicle again without jack stands. and depending on where Im doing the work, also chocks.

I lost an heirloom pocket knife after I loaned it to a friend who was working on his brake lines; the jack broke the brake drum came down on his neck. I just didn't feel right asking his widow for my knife.
