Sandstone Metallic

Mine glitters all the time! It wasn't my first choice (SOM) and I wish the interior was a different color than the exterior. But it's such a classy looking color. I had not noticed how many other car manufacturers offer the same color until I bought mine. I have a 1LT with the non-chrome grill and door handles and I like that option also. Best thing all, it doesn't ever look dirty!

Well let me be honest and say I was a bit underwhelmed. That being said, the weather might have had a bit to do with it. 16 degrees and wind gusting at about 40 mph...made for a chilly night.
Ok...salesman drops it off out front and hands it over to me...off I go. The 2.2 felt ok...not a screamer but not a slouch...remember I have a 1.8 in my Matrix. First thing I notice is quite a bit of wind noise,,again outside factors may be playing a big part as I don't remember the HHR I rented in San Antonio to has been as noisy...95 degrees then though...Engine was a bit chattery to boot.
On the road felt ok but seemed to get a bit of a bumpy ride when I got up on the highway like the tires were a bit off and unbalanced..perhaps they were flatspotted from sitting in the lot and the cold? Not sure but possible.
Ok this was a little unsettling...the info center said I was only avg 8.9 mpg (I drove maybe 10-12 miles) and it said my avg speed was 3 mph...is that because something needed to be reset before it left the lot?? Don't recall the HHR I rented having to reset anything.
When I opened the front door all the way I heard a crunch and saw that there was a formation of ice in between 1/4 panel and the door(like a mini block in a shape of the crevice it was in)...that was weird
Arm rest tilted downwards but I guess that is an issue with all HHR's..also why is the drivers rest shorter than the other one?
Despite what I mentioned above, I still liked the car...salesman even met my number after some arm twisting (15.3k) I just couldn't pull the trigger as I have some doubts about this car putting up with the miles I will be putting on it...this probably comes from my past 2 experiences with domestics. I gotta admit that my Matrix has a more solid feel to it regarding build etc.....but again I still like the HHR...if I put only 15-20K a year on a car it woyld be a no-brainer...35-40K a year and I start drinking the Toyota Kool Aid lol
Salesman was a little frustrated with me as we stayed about 45 minutes working out #'s and when he met my # I didn't sign off on it.
Perhaps I need to sleep on it and not feel rushed (to get a deal done before the end of the month) I'm sure there will be just as good deals a bit later on
I may hit a few more Chevy dealers tomorrow afternoon and trya few more out
