Saw a Sunburst Orange '08 today (looked like a rental). First impression...I'm glad I bought an '07. The body color door handles, side mirror housings and beauty bar make it look cheap and the stock wheels suck.

Also saw a panel for the first time. It was in dark blue and very utilitarian. It begs for customization!

Exactly my thoughts. I had seen one the other day, an Imperial Blue, it looked like it went through a drive thru paint shop.

 

ditto. it kind of ruins the "retro look", doesn't it?

 

You need to carry a camera with you

 

Camera was w/ me. Just didn't have time to grab it before I had to make a turn.

 

I actually prefer the color matched parts and wish they were an option on the 06 model. Some people like myself don't really like chrome and wish it wasn't on their HHR. I'm too lazy to paint all my parts to match or black.

 

I used to feel the same, but since it was on the HHR, I just kinda went with it, and glad I did.

 

I'm even that way with engines. A few tasteful billet items in there are okay but I like a straight black engine. Harley owners are the worst when it comes to chrome. I've seen entirely chrome bikes including the gas tank and riders helmet.
