saying bye bye to the hhr

I understand where you are coming from! Just give her space. I know it sucks but sometimes things happen for a reason. Every new beginning comes from some other beginnings end.
As for the hhr, I guess you could always look used, but they are still pricey compared to an s-10 or ranger. Whatever you do in the end, do whats best for YOU.

I hope you get yourself a Ranger with side airbags. My wife dodged a deer and went off the road in her Ranger and the strong side-to-side motion as she left the road banged her head against the door so hard she ended up with a serious brain injury. Seat belt on, and the steering column airbag didn't even deploy. Course any vehicle can be a head banger in such a situation. At least your head banging is from a different point of view.. Good luck.

"'im sure many people know about navy marriages not lasting"
Same goes for Air Force marriages, too. But I'm the opposite - I got my HHR after the divorce!
And as far as the S-10 goes, I've got a '94 extended cab S-10 w/5-speed, lowered 3" all way around and a set of IROC 16" rims...and it still gets compliments and looks wherever I go. With 186,000 miles, I've put a water pump, clutch, and a couple of batteries in it - that's it.
Stay Bowtie, bro!
