Seat Arm Rests - Not on SS Shift Model and on LT Shift??

Have 2 2008 Panels... LT Auto and 2LT 5 sp.
Both had cloth seats with Arm Rests on each ft seat.
Changed both over to full leather Ft & Rr with Arm rests.

Looking at HHR SS models... no Panel SS found below $17k.
Reviewing photos of several SS listings; I noticed the 5 Sp SS don't have center arm rests on seats, although the SS Auto does.

Is that correct?
The 5 sp SS lack arm rests?
Or are the photos deceiving me?

Interesting, of all the minor alterations. That one is odd, is that supposedly to allow better clearance in shifting? Since the SS auto and less sport 2LT 5 Sp does?

I thought I was seeing something odd on 1st one I noticed. Then noticed, all the SS 5 sp were the same.

I agree they aren't the best, I tend to use the Passenger side.

Yeah. I think the armrest delete in the SS 5 speed was for several reasons. Not sure but maybe the SS seat design would put the armrest a little closer to the shifter and you would maybe hit it with your elbow ?
Also, I think the SS shifter mounts a little further back in the console as compared to the LS, LT. (Not exactly sure on this since I only have a SS)
