It's not the car, it's the goverment who thinks they know better than you do and wants to do all your thinking for you. The tire pressure monitors just push me over the edge.
Don't get me started on the effin' government! Did you see that they just gave the FBI an increase of 600+million dollars this year? For what? So they will have more resources to spy on us?

Oh wait, they're tracking this thread right now...

better run.

But car has GPS in it...

Damn. Time for the bicycle. But I'd better throw the cell in the pond first.

How soon before we have a chip involuntarily imbedded?

You guys should hear the seatbelt chime in my truck...it's more of a buzzing sound, and it goes off after a few seconds. In fact, sometimes it doesn't even go off!!! lol

Touchy Thread!

This thread got everyone on the soapbox, to each his own. I use the seatbelt but like so many others I would like to not hear the chime sometimes. I have to stop and open a gate to the ranch and pull forward and close the gate again. I never put the seatbelt on after the FIRST gate, there are three more gates before the road ends at the house 1.5 miles later.

The chime shuts up after a few minutes, but when I put it in park again (to close or open another gate) it starts all over again.

Not needed on a dirt road traveling at 5 mph.
Might hit a slow cow though, 1200lb cow vs HHR? HHR looses.

Would like to "disable and enable at will though.

Nuf said.

The seatbelt chime referred to must be on newer vehicles. Mine doesn't do that and the chime it does have is not particularly noticeable when the stereo it turned up like I generally have it. But then I've only heard the chime a couple of times in 6 months. I'd say if something is an issue to you then don't buy a vehicle that has it. Oh, but then everyone would be upset because they can't look cool having the latest vehicle around.
