Well, I'm back! I see my little thread got a bunch of responses (as I imagined it would!). Yep; you guys guessed it; it was a modded Armada (say that 3 times fast!). But as another member noted, size apart - it does share a striking resemblence to an HHR, with a squared-off Nissan approach!

I've got a bunch of stuff to share, but it might take me all weekend to process everything. Took a bunch of pics, talked with a bunch of folks. For now, take a look at this video I posted up on YouTube; it's from the "Mustang Hot Laps" ride-along they had setup. Tons 'o fun!

Mustang Hot Laps

Enjoy!

(*note: it might take an hour or two for them to process the vid and get it up. Keep checking back - it's worth it!)

Ummm...read my post above yours! (it was a j/k)

"BTW we need to hear more buzz on the HHR SS.

GM did not have an HHR in their SEMA display.
My contact (the HHR Product Specialist), was not even at the show.
No SS news to speak of yet.

"And how about them Sema pix?"

I've been working on them this evening, should have a gallery all loaded up on our site for tomorrow. I think you'll like what you see there!

Dunno, I think a lot of imagination needed to think this in any form resembles an HHR...........

About that Nissan Armada, I rented one in Phoenix a little while back and that thing is HUGE. I felt like I was trying to drive a cruise ship through the streets of Scottsdale. Not a small car and I hate the styling. Look how they round up the passenger compartment, but the back of the truck is all squared off. Pick a style and go with it.

And yes, about 8 mpg.

I traded in an Armada for the HHR. I absolutely loved it. It was by far my favorite vehicle I've owned. The only thing I didn't like was the mpg's. That's what made the change. I moved from a place I didn't drive that much, to having to drive long distance all the time... so it was a must. One of the main things that caught my eye was that the HHR kinda resembled a miniature Armada in some ways. I personally like the body style of the Armada.
