I am planning on buying an HHR soon and need to outfit it for use as an appliance parts van. Any ideas or pictures would be greatly appreciated !

Brand new to forum, thanks in advance !

How much weight are you planning on carrying? Are you looking for cabinets and shelving?

Here's an upfitter site for some ideas.

I used to have an appliance sales/service business and would organize the service vehicles (everything from '53 Chevy Sedan Deliveries to Vega Panel to junk Pinto Cruising Wagon to Astro Minivans) with inexpensive, lightweight sheetmetal utility shelving. It was, and probably still is, available with shelving in different length/depth/gauge configurations. When shrunk down into a "shorter" version and shelves installed upside down to retain parts, it is a surprisingly strong and lightweight organizational solution.
Although I've not converted an HHR and don't know where mounting points may or may not be, a couple of lightweight crossbraces (top & bottom/front & back?) should "wedge" it into place.

Good Luck!

Thank you everyone for your quick and really helpful advice. I am leaning towards the pull out with some cabinets and parts organizers. I intended on some shelving mounted to sides somehow and maybe a combo of both would work. I did find some pictures of accesorries for the pull out.

Hey JX3 I like the looks of your pullout better....looks beefier. Do you have a link for that ? thanks

Mike B ...thanks for the ideas I am looking into that and think I might prefer that route with some room in center for tools or stuff.

Appreciate all the help so far !!

Scott
