She called my ride a toaster

I bought my HHR in november. I love this thing. It compliments my 08 Silverado. When I don't need the truck I take the HHR. I can still haul a few 2x4s paint cans whatever I need. I also thought it was kind of sexy in a wierd sort of way, a chick magnet if you will. Now I've had a mg, vette, harley ect and I thought this fell in that category. I went to meet a new potential sweetheart last night. When I roll up to the meeting place she says" you drive a toaster" My ego is damaged my I feel abused. Anyone experiance this lack of respect.

Some folk just don't get it. Let them follow the rest, while you lead on a different path. I feel you on the different vibe. I own a Triumph 675, in a land of rice rockets. I get the same look from folk when the 3 cylinder eats up the ulta high rev gixxerR6ninjaCBR clone bike as I do in the little panel van that just made them look bad.

Could have told her, it helps heat things up.

You could always carry that idea to an extreme that would really get her attention. Customize you car with a "toaster theme". Have some canvas bags made that look like the toast has popped out the top and get a piece for the rear that looks like the little lever you push down.

That should "warm" her toast a bit. :)

Better being a "toaster" driver than a "rice pot" owner.
