Actually it was the author of the article, not Chrysler, who said that. However, I think online petitions fall somewheres between doing nothing and being the root cause of this or any action. It gets secession makers to look into things a second time.

It's ONLY a CAR.....so, why should anyone care!!! It can be replaced by something else, and probably better.

The same goes for the HHR.

The article didn't state that the petition changed any minds it just said that an online petition was formed to save it. I signed it ,but told them they need to change it up a bit just putting a curve in the headlights really wans't enough. I like the PTs and looked into buying one about a year before we bought our HHR, it was nice but we had other car payments at that time and could do another. I glad the HHR came out when it did because even thought I like Pts I love my HHR. I say if the HHR stays it needs to change alot to avoid people from getting tired of seeing them, as much as I like G2G's and caravaning I hate it when I pull up to a red light and there is the same car I'm driving, behind me and in the turn lane and another in the lane across the intersection. I like to stand out not blend in.
Well I'm rambling now so to make a long statement even longer, Keep the HHRs , keep the PTs, just spice em' up a bit every two or three years!

I like the relative rarity of the HHR around here, but yesterday it was ridiculous how many other HHRs I saw around. I had to make a trip of about five miles each way...if memory serves, I saw seven other HHRs in traffic in just that quick trip, including one panel model. Normally I can go days without seeing any other HHRs out there. That's PT Cruiser level of infestation! Arrgh!

Would PT Cruiser owners sign the petition for the HHR? I think not.

That and I don't put any stock in petitions

On that I'll say that if I did not have a child I would have definitely gotten the panel, but with out even having the option of having a rear seat and if their was one he wouldn't be able to see anything, that pretty eliminated any possibility of getting it, and I'm sure that has been the case in more than my situation!

Those who wish to end the HHR saga need to think about one thing.....unless your planning to store them indefinitly along with a few parts cars, there are NO aftermarket replacement parts out there yet as the factory hasn't released them. So, if your planning to drive these babies for awhile..it could be a short run.I doubt GM will stockpile enough parts to keep us all running..............we may indeed be owners of the rare bird................
