i asked this question last night but i can't seem to find it .........has anyone changed the chrome skull caps on the outside mirrors or is it possible ...if so can you tell me how to do it

i looked into that and figured it out you can buy just the skull caps there abot $8.00 - $10.00 each it' easy haven't got mine yet but looked at theones on my hhr that i want to change there are 4 tabs inside the housing
you just nee to reiease them ( be careful that you don't crack the mirror )
then it should pop right off

 

I saw on a show they had caps for the cobalt mirrors but I haven't seen them for the HHR..

 

I think they are replaceable, but I am not sure. I think I read on one of the forums that the chrome caps simply replace the standard ones.

 

Mine is fadeing the dealer has to replace mine. I dont think its easy becasue its the whole piece that needs to be replaced. Mirror and all.

 

i was told you had to buy a whole new mirror
i decided not to put chrome mirrors on mine
